An incinerator for burning waste in Germany Naples Transfer
dispose of the garbage is cheaper than here

Money has no smell: since the time of Vespasian, this is a kind of universal law. But even the dirt, in some cases, able to stop stink. It happens when it turns into hard cash. This is because while in Campania no longer know where to put the rubbish with the snake nauseating than five million "eco-bales" (nothing but huge blocks of packed dirt: cos'avranno of 'eco'?) that stretches every day and piles of waste which have begun to burn infect the air, in Germany there is someone who would welcome with open arms the garbage Made in Naples.
who may have had an idea so crazy? Remondis, the largest German company that operates in the field of waste disposal, he expressed his willingness to create an area of \u200b\u200bthe Rhine on the border with Luxembourg, an incinerator to burn all the garbage in Campania producing electricity. Hypotheses that could be considered quite absurd, and as such had already been liquidated by those responsible for the refuse emergency in Campania. Absurd, of course, if the situation was not, however, still more absurd. The waste crisis in Campania has been going on fourteen years, during which they were literally thrown to the wind two billion euro. For the past seven years, noted that it could not do incinerators, noted that landfills were full, and noted that the Camorra controlled (and control?) Now most of the cycle, it was decided to send a part of trash in North Italy and abroad: to Germany. Where the garbage in Campania, for seven years, already is regularly burnt in special plants.
Every day the garbage is loaded on the trains of Ecolog, a division of Railways, and sent across the Brenner to be disposed of in incinerators the German Remondis, which in this transaction is a partner of Fs. Of course it is exported daily only a part: a thousand tonnes on 7500 produced (although the quantity was doubled). And of course free. The export of rubbish costs us all € 215 per tonne for the 'as is', which are the classic trash bags indistinct: 400 000 € a day, at current rates. Half goes to transportation (and then somehow back to the state) and half to those who disposes: the apparent contradiction that we provide to the Germans, paying from our pocket, the raw material to make electricity.
The nice thing is that the cost to export in Germany, although far superior to that of landfill in the rest of Italy, is well below what the Commissioner for the emergency spending to dispose of Campania, those wastes. The price ranges from a minimum of EUR 290 per tonne up to unspecified numbers, even, someone has calculated, not less than EUR 1,000. How is it possible? First there is the cost of processing in the famous "eco-bales": € 120 per tonne. Then there is the transport trucks on the land where these "eco-bales" are parked: € 20 more. Thus, the cost of temporary storage: 150 €. Temporary, however, so to speak. Why not as There are no incinerators, those ecoballe stationed for years on land purchased or rented at a price: 250 hectares of land area are now fully occupied. Most are, the more expensive rooms. And since the first "eco-bales" are there since 2001, you do the math.
What is so striking that the Director General of the Ministry of Environment Gianfranco Mascazzini, papabile considered for the post of Special Commissioner until now occupied by the Prefect of Naples, Alessandro Pansa, no capacity to how it is possible that costs less to ship the ' garbage rather than keep it in Germany in Campania. And capacity is not enough to have set in motion because the police carry out the necessary checks. When the answer to his questions is before the eyes of everyone, and is in the folly of a system that instead of burning the garbage pulverizing million euro per day.
Question: and incinerators by 14 years of which not even see the shadow? The contract we had the Fibe, Impregilo group, also responsible for the manufacture of the "eco-bales. There had, in fact, because the contract was terminated. One of the two incinerators to Acerra, it would be almost ready. Rather, it might work in less than a year. But there is one thing: can not burn the "eco-bales" produced in Campania, because they lack the technical specifications. So what? Then the Germans have come forward with their idea "crazy." Burn in Germany is not a part of Campania's garbage, like today, but all of it, with a brand new plant of 100 megawatts is intended only for that purpose, having a guaranteed contract of 15 years at a price much lower than current.

In response to November has been banned race to complete the new incinerators and replace Fibe. Veolia offers came from the French, the English company Abertis (the one that had to merge with Autostrade) and by ASM Brescia, who for thirty years the city heat by burning waste. But if they will ever again?
