Finally a good news ... I have followed with great interest the day yesterday that ended in heart- with the award in Milan Expo 2015, after a series of twists on the final outcome of the vote.
Milan won the nomination to host the World Expo 2015 edition with 86 votes against the 65 went to the Turkish city of Izmir.
A brilliant result from that the 'Italian system' both celebrated today, whose excellence on this occasion seems to have been fully recognized and appreciated internationally. Almost
news out of place, a discordant note in the field, and the mass media we are accustomed: the bombastic and boring election campaign, an atmosphere of inevitable and impending general economic downturn, the spectrum of the fourth week when no Italian middle-class seems more arrive, the destruction of Alitalia and the 'sale' of Malpensa, the image is still present and alive in the mountains of waste in Naples
... And this has been and remains the dominant Italy, one in which the Italians are identified and recognized, in a total resignation and acceptance of this situation.
I support the hope that this precious opportunity will not turn into the usual 'binge' to Italy but in an effective manner because of socio-political and economic revival to a nation weary, disillusioned, and deprived of any future hope.
We hope that this is not only a beautiful sound and 'April fish' ... ....
